Writing is very important for many reasons. Writing is a way to express yourself, which is especially for my major, biology, and my intended profession, medicine. In the medical field, you need to be able to clearly express yourself. This is needed when you are explaining a certain condition to a patient, or how this condition may be cured. Doctors also need to be able to appropriately communicate with other doctors to work together to find a treatment for a certain patient. If the doctor cannot communicate well, and is easily misunderstood, this could lead to someones life being in danger. On the other side of the medical field, research uses communication more than you think. Scientists who make discoveries need to be able to properly document their findings to report to other doctors. Weather it is spoken or written, communication is a vitally important aspect in the medical field.
Your term of how writing is important is very similar to mines. As a doctor you must be able to communicate with your patient very clearly so they know what's going on with their health. And if you made a mistake their life could be in danger, if your communication is mislead.
ReplyDeleteEven though I plan on becoming a different kind of doctor, I too still need to know how to write effectively. It is very true what you said in your post about someone's life could be in danger if information is not effectively communicated. I can see that writing is a class that we both will benefit from!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that there is a lot of students in our class that want to go into the medical field. I agree with everything you stated in your blog. Most people don't realize how much communication goes on behind the curtains of surgery. This class will definitely prepare us for the future of medicine.
ReplyDeleteWe have every similar blogs. I agree with you that all doctors must use communication skills with patients as well as other doctors. Bro, I hope to see you in the field one day and hope we both be successful.
ReplyDeleteFrom the way I look at it, Mrs. Rinke will prepare all of us!
